A technique used in complimentary medicine that helps in examining live blood cells when alive under the microscope. This technique uses a dark field to examine the blood cells for early identification of a variety of disorders, which include liver pathologies, clotting issues, gut disorders, parasites, microorganisms, and chronic infections.
A practitioner typically takes a small blood sample, usually from a finger prick.
The blood is placed on a microscope slide, and under a high-powered microscope, the practitioner examines it.
The practitioner will observe the blood in its live state, noting the shape and size of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and any other visible particles.
Based on what is observed, the practitioner may suggest dietary changes, supplements, detoxification, or other lifestyle adjustments.
