What Is Uroflow?

Also known as uroflowmetry, uroflow is a non-invasive test that analyzes and measures how you urinate; this helps in evaluating urinary tract dysfunction. But how? There are several circular muscles around the urethra that normally regulate urine flow; if any one of the muscles weakens or stops working, it disrupts the urine flow. Which is why the results are compared with your symptoms and physical exam for a solution.

You'll be asked to drink plenty of water before the test, then urinate in the special chair with a built-in measuring device

Measurement

This machine records the amount of urine you pass, how fast, and how long it takes. It also records the pattern of your urine flow

The results are then graphed into data and analyzed to assess urinary tract function
